Young Guns at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame

Reata Cookbook

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is delighted to announce the formation of Young Guns, a young professionals group embracing dynamic young leaders dedicated to increasing awareness of the Museum, its mission and goals, within a fresh demographic.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and celebrates women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that helped shape the American West, while fostering an appreciation of the ideals and spirit of self-reliance they inspire. This group of enthusiastic young professionals, all bright and eager in their careers, was created to reflect the spirit of the Museum and the incredible women it honors.

Young Guns will seek to actively communicate and promote the goals of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. However, that is not where this group begins and ends. Chief among the interests of the members of Young Guns is the continuance of long standing and deep rooted traditions of civic involvement and leadership in Fort Worth. Young Guns will strive to provide an atmosphere and opportunity for young professionals of similar drive and inspiration to meet and mingle with one another. Also, the group will work toward a goal of creating lasting impressions while continuing the heralded traditions, not only of Fort Worth, but of the character of the American West.

The Young Guns founding committee, comprised of 13 members, has been making significant progress toward launching the group since early spring. Plans are well under way for the Young Guns Launch Party, just around the corner, on January 22, 2009 at the Reata Backstage Club at Will Rogers Coliseum.

For more information about Young Guns, please contact Jennifer Siegel at 817-509-8960 or youngguns@cowgirl.net.
